Pearl District Fears
Building in NW Portland recently designated as a shelter for homeless people in the area. At a well-attended public meeting in the Pearl District, Mayor Wilson's shelter proposal was met with boos, skepticism, and vocal opposition from residents who cited worries about public safety, lack of long-term planning for shelter residents, and inadequate community input.
