Cars merging off SW Barbur Blvd onto the Ross Island Bridge in SW Portland. Underneath the vehicles is a former pedestrian walkway that went under the traffic. Railings that prevented people from falling in are still there, flanked by fencing so no one enters. According to a homeless man I spoke with at the location, Multnomah County filled in the pedestrian walkway with concrete after evicting another homeless man who has lived in the tunnel for several years.
