The Last Sun of Summer in Portland
The cloudy skies above Portland, OR, flooded with light from the sunset on the evening before the Autumnal Equinox. Trees in the bottom of the frame give way to skyscrapers in Downtown Portland. Several notable sights can be seen, including Providence Park, The Steele Bridge, Burnside, Big Pink, the Ritz-Carlton, and more buildings. I-5 is seen behind the skyscrapers. Southeast and Northeast Portland are behind the buildings. The Rose Quarter is seen along with industrial buildings in SE Portland. The trees begin where the residential neighborhoods in Northeast and Southeast Portland. Far in the distance, I-84, Mount Tabor, and the city of Gresham. The foothills leading to Mount Hood are obscured by atmospheric perspective and rain.
