Cyclist exits the Springwater Corridor, a bicycle path that runs alongside the Willamette River in SE Portland. The cyclist passes the abandoned Ross Island Sand and Gravel. Ross Island Sand & Gravel’s parent company (RB Pamplin Corporation) closed the ready-mix concrete division as part of broader business rationalization and the property was put up for sale for $3,195,000. No one bought the property and developed it, so it sits there as a playground for teenagers, graffiti artists.
