Manhattan Beach Pier one evening in January. I like coming back to this location every once in awhile to see how the light reacts to the pylons. There were about 5-6 photographers all on top of one another trying to get the shot. This is shot handheld. I waited for the moment and fired the shutter, shooting above another photographer who was ducking behind a tripod. Shooting handheld with the 7D is a real pleasure, especially when you can capture high dynamic range shots like this one with Dual ISO mode via Magic Lantern. The EF 16-35mm f/4L IS USM sure helps in this situation as well. Hopefully next time, the tide will be farther out!
