The town of North Shore sits on the northeastern shore of the Salton Sea, a lake that is so polluted and has such a high concentration of salt that all the fish will be dead in our lifetime. The beach here is not sand, but instead the crumbled bones of fish. A group of birds hang out in the shallow water. The mountains fade into the distance.
