The parking lots of strip malls are pretty much empty, big box stores abandoned. The last grocery store may be going out of business. The triple steakburger is 3.99. It's good to be alive. This photo is part of a series where I document people living in America during the recession. Shot somewhere in Illinois off an exit on Rt. 70.
