We asked our waiter after the meal if we could see the seance room on the second floor of Muriel's. The wait staff sets a place for the deceased owner of the establishment in the seance room. You can see the glass and plate on the tray sitting on the ottoman. The restaurant was once a place where slaves were auctioned. Muriel's Jackson Square is in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.
