4pm at torrance beach
A boy clinches his towel, still dripping from a swim in the ocean. He looks at the water, giving one good stare before his family gets in the car to go home. A woman perks her head up out of a book she's reading on a grassy knoll. The harsh diagonals created by the walkway on the left drive the eye to the beach that recedes into the background on yet another diagonal ending in the entire coast of Los Angeles County on a virtually smog free day. The mountains of Malibu sit nestled on the upper third of the photo. Shot at f/16, the Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM doesn't hold back on sharpness at 19mm, almost hit the sweet spot from 20-24mm for this lens. HDR processing in Photoshop.
